Main road network of Vasvár district

Vasvár, as the seat of the district, is located along the main road no. 8, which runs East-West of road traffic. In addition, a North-South branch of the main road No. 74 starts from Vasvár in the direction of Zalaegerszeg. The city has no direct connection to the national highway network. The expressway section of main road No. 8 is accessible towards Körmend.

Railway network including Vasvár district

In terms of rail transport, Vasvár is located on timetable line 17 connecting Szombathely and Zalaszentiván, which makes rail passenger and freight transport directly accessible from North to South. Rail transport towards Szombathely can compensate for the lack of a main road.

Vasvár can be reached within 30 minutes by road and rail from Szombathely, the county seat of Vas County.
